Here’s a gigantic cup & saucer planter that’s usually used for green plants. But I got this wild hair in my thought process and figured I would do christmas greens-flowers-cones-twigs and bulbs for a table or counter arrangement.. and the container can be used every year for something else on Christmas… FUN HUH?

There is nothing more fun and creative than doing wreaths for Christmas as one can add their own individual touch. Creating is my main reason for why I do what I do.. and boy do I ever create..Love it..

Happy Holidays to all of you! It is hard to imagine that Christmas is just around the corner and the year 2009 is almost upon us.

It has been a challenging year for many and as we come to the end of it.. my thoughts are with all those who have had to close their doors with their business and have lost their jobs due to the tough economy. We can only pray that this coming year is a start to something better for everyone including myself.

With saying this.. promise to remember that even in the badest of times we are fortunate to have LIFE, OUR FAMILIES and FRIENDS. Time is precious… so don’t let it pass you by. Tell your Family and Friends, that they mean everything to you and never take anything or one for granted as things can change in a heart beat. It’s all about unconditional LOVE.

Thanksgiving entry is a little late as so much was going on around us.. But I will say it was a good month for me.. I did the Toledo School District Grandparents day dinner corsages and bouts. 73 and 30 to be exact. It was fun to do as I know how important that day is for the kids and their grandparents…

Check out this crazy creation I have made.. I saw it at a garden show and thought that is cool..The kids have lots of moss out at their place so I gathered boxes of it and began to cover this chair.. Makes for a real unique yard decor. I will eventually plant some thing in the seat area, maybe some tall fall grasses or something.

What is awesome is I watered it and low n behold the ferns perked right up as if they were still alive..so who knows I may end up with my own little fern patch.. I will keep you up to date on what happens with this project..

Hey there! It has been a busy last couple of weeks between the homecomings and funerals. I had two funerals one right after another. A great lady we knew for many years along with her kids and husband passed on and I was asked if I would do the flowers for their mom. I called in the trooper, Shannon, on that Saturday and she assisted me with a lot of help and support. It actually was almost all done by that Saturday but a few details. She noted that I needed greens in the heart and I said go for it.. She of course said yeah right.. I said no go for it that is how one learns of coarse I wanted to get a picture of her for the blog..

She just said way to go mom.. Any way she held down the fort while I delivered the flowers to the service and believe it is so nice to be able to count on her to help … even if it is for moral support sometimes..

It is getting to be Thanksgiving season and before you know it Christmas will be around the corner. I am in the process of trying to bring in some candy and such into the shop. Something for those special days and events. So I will keep you posted on that. Also trying to change and display a little different here in the shop. So once I am completed I will take some pictures..
